At the 2015 National Association of Broadcasters Show, Robert Kirkman and Steven Yeun discussed the future of The Walking Dead with AMC President Charlie Collier. The current forecast? A whole lot more of Morgan!
Robert reported that the dynamic between Rick and Morgan that was set up at the end of season 5 will carry throughout the next. “Having Rick and Morgan together, finally, again is a huge deal, and it’s definitely going to be a big part of Season 6,” he said.
“Now it’s a very different Rick and a very different Morgan who are going to have a completely different relationship,” he added. “And it’s the questions of how they’re going to interact, how they’re going to work together — if they’re going to work together — and what comes from those interactions is going to be basically the spine of season six.”
Robert also teased that Steven Yeun would have a big season when The Walking Dead returns, which may or may not involve Glenn’s demise.
“The way that we make the show — the writers and everybody really want to focus on making things poignant and purposeful and meaningful,” Yeun said. “So if it were for Glenn to go, then it’s probably going to be awesome.”

Do you think Glenn is going to make it through the sixth season? And how do you think Morgan’s story will unfold? Comment below!
I want to cry. It’s like he’s telling us he’s already dead. My favorite…
It just depends on how closely, if at all, the show follows the comics. Since last season did follow pretty well, maybe they will go in a totally different direction. It will be interesting to see what is going to happen with the Wolves, and whether or not Negan will be introduced yet. People do have to die, but it doesn’t have to be our favorites. I can’t wait to see what they come up with!
hopefully glenn dies, cant stand him since they decided to make him a wannabe badass in season 3.
Glen is not a wannabe badass. He is the an average guy at 100 percent. The show isn’t about a bunch of badasses. It is about civilized people, having to dig deep down and make choices, choices we think only uncivilized people make. The way these characters react to situations they are in is what makes them so admirable and makes the show so great!
Lucille is hungry…
I hope Glenn makes it as well; must be very strange for the Steve Yeun – who won’t know until he gets the script for THAT episode – but if Negan is coming then Lucille is going to be hungry, and a major character is going.
This has to be the most anticipated and talked about death on TWD.
I’d love to be a fly on the wall during the discussions that steer the show, I wonder how many people are actually privvy to those discussions?
i really hope the people writing the scripts for the shows dont water anything else down for the “squeamish” viewers 😛
I hope Glenn makes it I can’t see the walking dead without him
Im really hopeing they kill glenn off like in the comic, I know they arent really following the comics to exact asian american brain bashing details but so much came from glenn getting killed off it really set the tone for that part in the books. That being said i also really hope they eventually get to things like rick losing a hand, carl losing an eye (and part of his face) and whatnot it just feels strange watching the show with a 2 handed rick lol feels like they gave him an advantage to suit the alternate story line but i guess different things can be good so lets all hope they just toss an un watered down negan into the amc version because honestly thats the only reason i personally have been watching the tv version 😛
If they introduce Negan this season (I still think it’s too soon) someone will definetly die by Lucille. I think they should switch it up a bit, have Negan Smash in Daryll’s skull, that would piss off way more people and make Negan a even more hated villain.
A theory that people have said is that they should wait until 100th episode to introduce Negan, since he appears in the 100th issue of The Walking Dead comic book series, after a long time of counting in my head, I figured out that the 100th episode will be the Season 8 premier. In my honest opinion that is WAY too long to wait for Negan. If I were in charge of writing the show, I would have Negan in the season 6 finale, I would have episode 6 7 8 be the “No Way Out” story arc, and have the mid-finale (ep. 8) be an hour and a half, like in the season 5 finale (Have Carl lose his eye in the mid-finale), then I would have episode 14 15 16 be the “Something To Fear” story arc, have the finale (ep. 16) also be an hour and a half. And in the last 10 minutes of the episode, Negan shows up,(SPOILER ALERT FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN’T READ THE COMIC BOOK SERIES: Negan kills Glenn), and that’s how the episode would end.
